Delete your PleaseCheckOnMe account

You can permanently delete your PleaseCheckOnMe account and all of its data at any time. Here is exactly what happens and how to ask for it.

Check-ins stop right away

Requesting deletion ends your subscription immediately and stops all scheduled check-ins at once — not at the end of the 30 days. If someone relies on those check-ins, tell them before you delete, and make sure they have another way to be reached.

How to request deletion

If you can still sign in

  1. Sign in to your account
  2. Go to Settings, then the Security tab
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm with your password

The Android app has the same option under Settings → Delete account.

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in

Use our contact form and tell us you want your account deleted. Send it from, or name, the email address on your account. We confirm your identity before deleting anything, and we respond within two business days.

What gets deleted

After a 30-day grace period, we permanently erase:

  • Your account, name, email address, phone number and mailing address
  • Everyone you had set up to be checked on, and their contact details
  • Your Trusted Contacts and their contact details
  • All check-in schedules and the full history of check-ins and alerts
  • Your notification preferences and any registered devices

The 30-day grace period

Deletion is not immediate, so a mistake is recoverable. For 30 days after you ask, your data is retained and you can cancel the request by signing in and choosing Keep my account. After 30 days the erasure is permanent and we cannot restore anything.

Billing stops when you make the request, not when the 30 days end — you are not charged during the grace period.

What we keep, and why

We retain records we are legally required to keep, such as billing and tax records of payments already made, and records of SMS consent. These are kept only as long as the law requires and are never used to contact you again.
