What devices and phones are supported?

PleaseCheckOnMe works with any phone that can receive and send SMS text messages. You can manage your account from any device with a web browser. We support phones in the United States and Canada.

How do check-ins work?

At your scheduled check-in time, you'll receive an SMS message. Simply reply with "OK", "YES", or "Y" to confirm you're doing well. You can also tap the confirmation link in the message. That's it!

What happens if I miss a check-in?

If you don't respond to the initial check-in, we'll send retry attempts based on your configured settings (0-5 retries). If you still don't respond after all retries, we automatically notify all contacts in your designated contact group via SMS.

Yes, you can schedule up to 2 check-ins per day. This is useful if you want both a morning and evening check-in.

You can use our Temporary Suspension feature to pause your check-ins for a specified period. This is perfect for vacations, hospital stays, or any time you know you'll be unavailable. Your Trusted Contacts won't be notified during suspended periods.

What is a Trusted Contact?

Do Trusted Contacts have to agree to be notified?

Yes, for privacy and consent reasons, all Trusted Contacts must opt-in via SMS before they can receive notifications. When you add a Trusted Contact, they'll receive a text asking them to confirm they agree to be a contact.

Trusted Contacts receive an SMS letting them know you haven't responded to your check-in and asking them to reach out. It includes your name so they know who to check on.
